Choose one of the topics and write a short essay, between 1000 and 1500 words. Pay attention to the structure of your essay: title, introduction (first paragraph to catch attention of readers), main argument and conclusion.
All outside material that you consult must be included in a selected bibliography at the end. Wikipedia and other non-academic online resources are not acceptable. Be sure to include citations where necessary, properly formatted: “…”.
All essays must be submitted using a 12-point font and single or double spaced. Be sure to spellcheck your essay and review it closely for common grammatical mistakes.

NOTE ON PLAGIARISM
Make sure you cite selected works that you use in crafting your essay and avoid lengthy quotations from outside secondary works. Plagiarism is a VERY serious matter AND EASILY DETECTED. The penalty is not only automatic failure of the class, but also a sanction in front of the Ethics Committee and potential expulsion from University.
